I ordered a grub hoe, which came quickly and was easy to assemble. Unlike an ordinary garden hoe, this grub hoe has a heavy, curved sharp blade that cuts easily into soil. You can dig holes with it and clear weeds, even those with deep roots, very easily. I find it one of the most useful tools I have ever used for a large vegetable garden. It handles heavy clay soil marvelously and lets me handle weeds easily.

The grub hoe is like the missing piece of a puzzle I wish I had years ago. It is simply, physics applied in the most efficient manner, for me to chop up the ground. I live in hard desert clay, and I spent literally years with a standard short-handled pickaxe, where I could have accomplished the same work in a third of the time with the grub hoe, and its long handle. Customer service was great. I will definitely return to purchase more tools here.

I bought a grape hoe and a grub hoe. Both are very good quality and serve their purpose well. Grape hoe is lighter and excellent for weeding and light tilling while the grub hoe is heavier and chops small brush (poison oak) quite easily and is very good for tilling soil. Easy to sharpen and maintains a good edge. The handles are good quality and reasonably priced. The products arrived quickly after ordering and were easy to assemble. Another great thing about the products is that this company stocks plenty of replacement handles specific to the tools which is something you don't find with other brands.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting this grub hoe to be as effective as it was. I was expecting to need a rototiller to clear out the saplings and invasive briars but no. Between the four foot handle and the weight of the head, it was much less tiring to use than a box store hoe. You let the tool do the work, not your muscles. The next project is building a garage/workshop, and it looks like this hoe will be perfect for trenching the yard for a power conduit to the garage. I'm a happy customer!

The grub hoe is a fantastic tool. It beats the box store hoes by a mile. I have had a little trouble with the handle staying tight but Greg is a fantastic business person and the customer service has been exceptional in that regard. We are in the process of fixing the issue. I would not hesitate to buy more tools from Greg. The tool is very high quality and I expect my grandchildren will inherit it and use it long after I am gone.

I bought several tools and I love them all! Very robust and high quality making digging much easier. Especially for pulling up pasture grass where I want to plant trees and and breaking up hard compacted soil. I've donated my lesser grade tools that I used before as these are the only tools I will need. I'm so thrilled with my investment. (Grub hoe, fork hoe, pointed hoe, switchblade hoe. )

I needed to dig a hole into an old gravel driveway. That kind of digging (by hand tool) can't really ever be easy. However, with a regular shovel it was impossible. I used the grub hoe and the pointed hoe and got it done. I've also used them in the garden under more normal circumstances and they are great. A little on the heavy side for my 5ft female frame, but still fantastic tools.

I bought the grub hoe for uprooting Yorkshire Fog, a warm weather invasive grass species that I did not want in my VA pasture.
I had seen a youtube video on how best to use a grub hoe when I was searching for easier ideas (I was getting a sore foot using my spade).
It has been a very effective tool for me for uprooting this grass because I can use my body weight behind it.
Fortunately, it is a shallow rooted grass.
When its dry it does dull a little faster and my husband will sharpen it for me. I am 66 years old, 5'4" and 100 lbs, so if I can use
this effectively, I am certain others can too. I did buy the smaller grub hoe.

One of the wedges was hidden in the corner of the box and I had to dig it out of the trash to get to it. The tools themselves are nice. Before, I was doing mostly no-dig and now I am doing mostly dug beds because the tools are so pleasant to use. I am thinking of switching back because I need my back to still be in good shape 60 years from now.

I am very happy with the grub hoe that I purchased from Easy Digging. The purchase and delivery went smoothly. The hoe was exactly as advertised. I have known people from other countries who had these hoes and I was amazed at how well they work. I just removed a large area of turf in minutes with the grub hoe. For a gardener, it is like having heaving equipment to get the job done.

Not sure if this will help others, but might look at purchasing 4 and 6 inch hoes. It was worth the money in my opinion. The smaller one does a wonderful job removing young weeds. While the large one handles big root with no issues. If you do purchase, take the time to file a sharp edge. It will make weeding easier.

I bought the 8” grape and 6” grub hoes. These tools are amazing! Both surpassed my expectations in clearing brush and digging a new garden bed. Much easier than digging with shovels. Both are solidly built and I expect they will last generations. Shipping was very fast and packed well.

I have purchased EasyDigging tools before and they are outstanding in quality and durability. I have hit many rocks forcefully and it didn't affect the hoe blade at all! The trench shovel is very well built and although I haven't used it yet, I expect it will live up to the EasyDigging Quality.

I was most impressed with the opportunity to talk with a real person when I inquired about the grub hoe. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in my decision making. I was a little disappointed with the size (circumference) of the handle. It felt too thick for my female hands to hold, like a large closet dowel. I shaved it down but did not do a good job because the wood kept splintering so now the handle is a little bit wonky. The tool still works well despite feeling awkward in my hands. After so many years of gardening, I don't know why I was never told about a grub hoe and its extraordinary capacity to move a lot of soil around. I almost never use a shovel anymore. I go immediately to the grub hoe. It is an exceptional tool, and I'm so grateful easydigging.com carries it. Thank you.

The Grub Hoe handle is odd. It seems that a fiction fit like a traditional eye hoe would be more practical than the split handle with wedge that was provided with the tool.

Picked up the 4 inch and 6 inch grub hoe. The tools have good mass to them, so they make quick work of weeds, digging, and turning over the soil.
I have been using the 6' hoe for heavier work and the 4' for detail work. The handle is hefty and I'm not worried about it breaking and this
heftiness would also allow for customization and modifications without sacrificing integrity. Assembly is very simple and straightforward.
When these were purchased free shipping was offered for orders over $100. That's appreciated since it has become so expensive to send packages.
Overall I highly recommend and appreciate these products. Buy with confidence.

This type of hoe is just the type of hoe I want! Your grub hoe works the most efficient! I had been looking for this type of hoe in Home Depot, Lowe's ... for several years, but can't find it at all. Finally I realize that I should search it from internet, and I found your business. I bought it, and I am very happy with it because it works extremely efficiently! I also learned its name from you: grub hoe. Thank you very much!

I was looking for a new hoe to dig up tough weeds..I did a lot of research and was sold after watching a video on your site using the Grub Hoe. I wanted to see exactly how it worked. There are so many products on the market, but you can't see how it actually performs. I wanted something heavy duty and sharp. It was shipped right out. Does the job I wanted and very satisfying purchase transaction. I actually purchased two!!

In a new garden book I bought, the author talked all about different garden tools that are helpful and what they do best. The author mentioned the "grub hoe" which is used in many countries across the world, but not so much in the US for some reason. So, I wanted to give it a try. The author recommended Easy Digging as the best place to purchase and I'm glad we did. It's a high quality and easy to use tool that is far superior to a normal garden hoe sold at typical garden shops. It's been ideal for clearing large areas of weeds and turning over dirt. The customer service from Easy Digging has been excellent as well. Highly recommend!

Two years I started to convert 1/2 acre of my property to a meadow. We brush hogged the land and had 17 native trees planted. This year I am planting a dozen shrubs along with some sedge, blacked eyed susans and coneflowers. I am using the grub hoe to direct some runoff and the broad fork to turn the solid for planting. So far all is going well. The tools are fantastic.

I bought the grub hoe, and it's an amazing piece of engineering! It's amazing how much easier it is using this to dig a hole. You use the "swing" motion to drive the head into the ground, and pull to move the dirt. Amazing! They use these quite a lot in Asia, and it's great to have access to it here the USA. I compared it to a regular spade, and it was no comparison. A few shovel-fulls of a regular spade, and I felt it was much more tiring. Super solid construction, and feels like it will last a lifetime. Shipment was great, and item was extremely well packaged. They also provided an aluminum "wedge" to mount the handle in the head. Great attention to quality! Great item! Highly recommended to anyone digging any large hole.

I have a lot of scrubby oak-like growth around the edges of my "lawn" (such as it is). The growth catches the leaves when I blow them off the "lawn". I wanted a way to remove that growth. I'd used hoes when I was a kid, so I thought of that, and did some research on the web. What I saw on the EasyDigging site impressed me the most, so I decided to spend a bit more than I could have and try them out. I have to say that I was quite impressed by the instructions for assembling the hoes; I did what they recommended, and it worked exactly as they said. These hoes are top quality, and I'm glad to have tried them.
