| So what is an Azada? Azada (ah-zah-da) is what they call both grub hoes and grape hoes in Europe and South America. This type of tool has become very popular in England - click here to read what British gardeners say about the Azada. Weeding with a grape hoe is done by keeping the blade parallel to the ground and pulling the tool towards you in short strokes with the blade just under the surface of the soil. Coarse weeds, and even small woody plants, can be cut with a forceful chop of the grape hoe - this a very strong tool. |
