This heavy-duty 8" wide triangular hoe easily cuts through sod and penetrates firm soil, which makes it great for digging and tilling gardens. It is also called a Ridging Hoe because it gets used to loosen, pull, and pile soil around the base of plants like potatoes. This process is called ridging or hilling because it creates a long raised ridge of soil that encourages a more productive potato crop.

"The best digging tools you can buy, with the best price you can find. The grub and pointed hoes are on another level compared to a shovel. If you're looking to plant trees bare root or potted, invest in your time and health as these really save your back and wrists. How to use a Pointed Ridging Hoe
Pointed hoes are really just grub hoes with a triangular-shaped blade. So our instructions for them are the same. With this tool you dig and cultivate with a steady chop-pull motion that is very quick, but also gentler on your back than the stomp-bend-lift motion used with a shovel or spade.

Forging Process:
Forging is the process of forming and shaping metals through the use of hammering, pressing or rolling. The process begins with a bar or slab of steel which is heated to its plastic deformation temperature, then hammered or "kneaded" between dies to the desired shape and size. Forging is a ancient metalworking process that was done by a blacksmith pounding metal on an anvil with a hammer..
During the hot forging process, the steel's coarse grain structure is broken up and replaced by finer grains. Mechanical properties are improved by aligning the grain flow to obtain the desired directional strength. Forging can produce a piece that is stronger than an equivalent cast or machined part.
