Customer Reviews of the Hoss Wheel Hoes
"Our Hoss wheel hoe works great, better than I anticipated and definitely better than the old wheel hoes I grew up using!"
"Love, Love, Love it. So easy to use. I can't believe I didn't get one sooner. I have a large garden and it has been much easier to weed using the Hoss wheel hoe. Last year I pulled so many weeds by hand that I got tennis elbow so I needed to find another way to fight the weeds. The Hoss fits that need perfectly."
"Love the Hoss Wheel Hoe. Perfect tool to help keep the garden clean. Will be ordering more attachments soon."
"These tools appear to be indestructible family heirlooms which I'll pass on down to my kids... can't find the simple design and industrial strength quality of these tools locally ... Will be buying some more tools from Easy Digging..."See more Reviews
These curved Plow style handles are supplied with all our Standard, Deluxe, and Loaded models...
The curved Plow style handles are best for steering which lets you weed very close to your crops.

Straddle weeding with High Arch wheel hoe: Also shows a side-by-side comparison with the original Hoss double wheel version. Straddle weeding can shorten your weeding time.
Hilling corn with the Plows This short video shows how you can hill corn that is fairly tall by using a pair of plows that are facing each other but set far apart.
The Loaded High Arch package includes a pair of 6" oscillating hoes. They can be used for straddle weeding, which means weeding both sides of the row at the same time. The replaceable blade tilts 20 degrees forward and back for optimal weeding on both forward and backward strokes of the wheel hoe. It is a more aggressive and deeper-cutting weeder than the Sweeps.
For full details on the use and range of the oscillating hoes, please visit the Oscillating Hoes page.
The Loaded High Arch package includes the Furrowing/Hilling Plow Set. This is a pair of Left and Right plows that can be installed singly or as a pair. For hilling (putting soil over the base of a row of crop plants) they can be used as a pair while straddling the row, or just a single plow can be used to push soil and hill from the side (when crops get too tall to straddle). Installed as a pair in a V shape they are used for opening a large furrow.
For full details on the use of the Plows, please visit the Plow Set page.
Weeding Sweeps are NOT included in the Loaded package. But they are a great weeding attachment you should look into...
They can be used with the tips facing each other for weeding garden paths. They can also be used with the tips pointing away from each other for Straddle Weeding.
For full details on the use and design of the Sweeps, please visit the Sweeps page.

Is the High Arch better than the original Hoss Wheel Hoe?
Well, it is definitely different. I think it depends on your needs, and you gardening style.
If you are not interested in straddle weeding and straddle plowing, then it is fine to stick with the original models. They are lighter, a little more agile, and there are more accessories for the original model. Like the seeder attachment and the disc harrow.
But if you really want the ability to straddle both short and tall plants, then the High Arch is the best bet.
